Ascender Parent and Student Portals allow you to access the information entered in txGradebook by your child's teacher(s). These applications are made accessible both English and Spanish.
You will be assigned a Parent Portal ID for each student that you have enrolled in W.I.S.D. The safety and privacy of our students is very important to us, and we assure you that only those individuals listed as legal guardian on the student's registration card will be given access to their Portal ID. The address provided for the primary guardian will be used to send out the Student Portal ID's for your child. If there are two guardians and two separate addressed, the non-custodial guardian will need to check with his/her child's campus and show proper proof of identity to receive a Student Portal ID. Change of address, phone numbers or contacts may be made on Parent Portal. If you have a change of guardianship, contact your child's campus immediately.
If you have more than one child attending multiple campuses within the district, you can sign up using any one of their Portal IDs then add the others after your account has been created. This gives you the convenience of being able to toggle between your students without having to log into separate accounts.
This web-based application will also give you the opportunity to subscribe to a variety of alerts that will be emailed directly to you. You may choose from Attendance Alerts, Average Alerts and Assignment Alerts. Please allow up to 5 days for absences to update to Excused or Medical Exemption in the portal.
