In the event of inclement weather and other emergent matters impacting our campuses, Whitney ISD is committed to giving accurate and prompt information to our students and families. If it appears overnight that inclement weather may impact travel conditions, our transportation department is prepared to check road conditions prior to buses leaving for morning pick up. When checking for travel safety, we give consideration to our many rural roads, bridges, etc. Our Director of Operations shares this information with the Superintendent, who will then decide if either delayed start or school closure are necessary.
